Most scout activities beyond the unit meeting require a parent permission and media release form. If you are
sponsoring an event, provide a copy of this form with your flyer and registration materials. If you are a
Scout trying to attend an event, download this form, complete the information requested and submit the form with your registration.
Use this form to propose a council-wide activity or event sponsored by your district but open to other
districts. Both community organizations and BSA unit leaders should submit one of these forms at least 6
weeks prior to a scheduled event for proper approval. Many activities should be planned 6 months to a year

Many events listed on the Activities & Civic Service Upcoming Activities page may involve opportunities for scouts to complete requirements toward specific merit badges. Units or groups that wish to sponsor an event that includes merit badge opportunities must include staff who are council-approved merit badge counselors. In addition, a Merit Badge Event Approval Form must be submitted to Council at least three weeks prior to the event.
