Each Scouting program has its own requirements for advancement. Select your program:

Eagle Scout

Scouts working towards the rank of Eagle Scout, can find relevant information on our Eagle Trail page. They receive guidance through the process or working on their Eagle Scout Service Project from an Eagle Project Counselor.

Adults wishing to become an Eagle Project Counselor can apply here.

Merit Badges

Merit badges are an important part of the Scouts BSA program, and over 125 merit badges are currently offered. You can find counselors for each merit madge on our Online Merit Badge Counselor Listing.

Adults with experience in a merit badge subject are encouraged to become Merit Badge Counselors. To learn more, see our Merit Badge Counselor page.

STEM Nova Awards Program

The BSA STEM Nova Awards program incorporates learning with cool activities and exposure to science, technology, engineering and mathematics for Scouts at all levels. The hope is that earning these awards stimulates interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) fields. STEM Nova Counselors and Supernova Mentors help bring this engaging, contemporary, and fun program to life for youth members.

Adults with experience in a STEM subject are encouraged to become STEM Nova Counselors and/or Supernova Mentors.

Scouts with Special Needs

Recognizing that no two Scouts are alike, and that some Scouts have "disabilities" that require extra help from our trained leaders. These Scouts with special needs have allowances for membership eligibility and advancement flexibility.
