Merit Badges Required
To Become an Eagle Scout
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are a merit badge counselor, or a Scout working on merit badges, be aware that the requirements periodically change. Please obtain a copy of the Requirements Book or appropriate merit badge pamphlet for the latest revisions. Both can be purchased at the Scout Shop or on-line at ScoutShop.org.
Merit badge pamphlet and requirements revision dates are available online. Note, however, that while the information provided is generally deemed to be trustworthy and useful, it is from an unofficial site.
Another unofficial, but useful, Merit Badge requirements site is usscouts.org.
At this time there are no Citizen in Society merit badge pamphlets available for purchase. You can use the following links:
Periodically there are events where Scouts can work on fulfilling and/or completing one of more merit badges. These events are listed on the Activities & Civic Service (ACS) page and the Calendar page. On the ACS page, expand Program Enhancement Activities and then expand Scouts BSA Merit Badges and Advancement to view any offerings.
The following link is provided as a courtesy to Scouts looking for Merit Badge counselors. It is not to be intended for use in any other way. This list is not the complete listing. It is only a listing of those counselors who specifically granted permission to include their names and contact information in this list. Copies of the complete printed listing are provided to Scouting units twice each year.
If you observe questionable processes or procedures discovered in merit badge counseling at group instruction events such as fairs, clinics, workshops, in camp settings, or by individual counselors, you can report your concerns to the Council Advancement Committee by completing this form.
