Scouts BSA Summer Resident Camp at
Camp Fiesta Island, on beautiful Mission Bay


Spend a week of Scouting adventure on the beach at Camp Fiesta Island! This Aquatic Center facility is located on beautiful Mission Bay. You'll camp among the sandy dunes and set sail for the Pacific Ocean. Campers at CFI enjoy the ultimate waterfront experience.

Scouts can kayak the bay, test their skills in the famous Flying Hull and Nautical Survival programs, or spend the day learning to surf. Meals are prepared by one of San Diego's finest caterers. Camp Fiesta Island is Southern California at its best!

Along with our very popular merit badge and first year "Mariner" programs, the CFI summer camp experience will feature exciting activities for Scouts of all ages. Pack your trunks and sun screen for a great summer camp!

Try Survivor CFI Style!

Our Nautical Survival program combines the best of Scouting's outdoor tactics. Start with the popular Wilderness Survival merit badge, toss in a simulated "shipwreck", add lifesaving skills, and build your own raft to escape the island!

Open Program Day!

The Open Program Day gives Scouts a break from the regular class schedule with opportunities to experience the open activities at the waterfront, craft area, and several 1/2 day additional merit badges. There is also the opportunity to get off the island and visit local San Diego attractions such as the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, USS Midway, or go on a deep sea fishing boat excursion, and more!

Extend Your Stay in San Diego?

Extend your adventure with our new "Camp San Diego" option! Pitch your tents at our 15-acre Camp Balboa, next door to the world famous San Diego Zoo. You can add days before or after your Fiesta Island week to enjoy the Zoo, Sea World, a Padres game at Petco Park, the the USS Midway aircraft carrier and more!

PAYMENT SCHEDULE & CANCELLATION POLICY

Units that cancel/drop participants will forfeit any payments due by that date, whether payment has been made or not.

We have a NO REFUND POLICY. Each payment is based on number of campers, not named individuals. If there are any reductions in total numbers (youth or adult) after each payment due date, the unit will be responsible for the money due at the time of the cancellation, even if no payment has been made. We encourage you to find a replacement if a Scout or leader needs to cancel. Cancellations due to extenuating circumstances are subject to approval. Cancellations must be done in writing and emailed to sdiccamp@scouting.org.

Day Trekker Scouts BSA Camp

Day Trekker Camp at Camp Fiesta Island is a Monday - Friday Day Camp Program exclusively for Scouts BSA. Campers can enroll in any age appropriate day programs, including Mariners (Trail to First Class), personal watercraft, and all the traditional merit badges offered at Camp Fiesta Island! No Troop…no problem!

Scouts who cannot attend camp with their own troop, or wish to attend for additional weeks, may participate as part of our provisional troop. The provisional troop is made up of youth from San Diego-Imperial and other councils. Scouts may also be paired with a host troop depending on registrations. It is an excellent opportunity to meet new friends and experience summer camp in a whole new way. For more information and to and to register for Provisional Scout click here.

**Once the survey has been submitted and our office has processed your request you should receive email notification within 36-48 hours. This notification of change will be in the form of an updated copy of your registration via email from San Diego Imperial Council.

Counselor Training Program

A unique opportunity for Scouts and Venturers 14 & 15 years old to: Learn New Leadership Skills, Enjoy Summer Camp, Make New Friends, Have FUN, Earn Merit Badges or Ranger Requirements!!!

Info & Registration

Applicants for the Counselor Training Program must have a recommendation is to be completed by a non-family member Scout Leader registered in the troop/crew/ship.

The Unit Leader completing the recommendation should have known the Scout for at least 6 months. The recommendation is in a survey format and takes just few minutes. Complete the Survey

Camperships

Partial camperships are available for those families who need financial assistance.

The council campership application dealine has passed. Contact council for possible consideration.

A Campership can be used towards Summer Camps, Day Camps, Counselor Training Program (CTP), NYLT, and Spring Camp. Only one Campership per year is awarded to each individual; this includes using a voucher from the Boys & Girls Foundation.
