SDIC Scouting Community Partners

A number of organizations support Scouting in the greater San Diego-Imperial County Region.

Museum & Program Partnerships

  • Museum & Program Partners - Several local museums, charities and other institutions feature special educational and service programs for our youth. While some of these programs may be designed for specific Scouting requirements, additional resources may be available for to match your schedule and age group.

Religious Organizations

Other Special Interest Groups

  • Homeschool Groups - For homeschoolers, Scouting allows your youth the opportunity to work with other kids and learn valuable leadership skills and participate in great team building events with their peers
  • Scouting for Youth with Special Needs - Do you have a youth with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities - seeing, hearing, speaking, walking, etc? Scouting may be the perfect fit for your family.
  • SDIC Eagle Scout Alumni Association - Adult Eagle Scouts make significant contributions to strengthen our local Scouting program. They provide special recognition to our Scouts and leaders through scholarships, recognition events, and maintain an honor roll listing the outstanding Eagle Scout service projects, Scout leaders and distinguished Eagle Scouts that go on to make even greater contributions. Check out the full honor roll of outstanding San Diego Scouts at their website.
  • Tiwahe Lodge - Local Chapter of the Order of the Arrow – Scouting’s National Honor Society. OA service, activities, adventures, and training for youth and adults are models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich and help to extend Scouting to America's youth.

Learning For Life

SDIC and Boy Scouts of America also operate a number of Explorer Units across the country that specialize in career preparation. These include a variety of special fields such as law enforcement, fire life safety, health care, business, aviation, engineering, the arts, communications, and various sciences.

If you are a part of organization that depends heavily on support from a force of trained and motivated young volunteers, then perhaps we can work together to form a valuable partnership.
