3-49-23 Quartermaster, Dan Bozarth

Dan was a Youth in Pack and Troop 1 in Michigan City Indiana, where he sold Christmas trees as the youth in charge of that fund raiser. Dan also served 2 summers as staff at Camp Topenebee.

Dan is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow.

Dan has served as an adult Scouter for 18 years. Serving as Den Leader, Cub Master, Committee Member, Scout Master, Committee Chair and Membership Chair. Dan has served the District and Council on the San Diego 500 Pinewood Derby Team, Tecolote District Camporee Chair, Eagle Project Counselor, Merit Badge Counselor for 10 disciplines. Dan runs a successful Archery Merit Badge Team, and currently serves as the SDIC Assistant Council Commission for Roundtable.

Dan went through the W6-49-16 Wood Badge Course and is a proud Beaver. This is Dan's second time on staff, and he served as Assistant Quartermaster for W6-49-19.

Dan works with two Not-for-profit organizations bringing late Medieval Studies to life for 7th grade students in several middle schools and for the public at Medieval Festivals.

Professionally Dan is an Army National Guard and US Navy Veteran who found himself in the Security Industry. Dan is the General Manager for Accurate Security Pros, Inc. and has been with the company for 34 years.

Dan has 2 Eagle Scout sons, Jon (24) and Aaron (27), who he is very proud of, and a wonderful fiancé in Kimberly Houser. The couple has been together for 8 years and counting.

He lives by this concept given by his Dad; Every day you are dealt a hand and your options at hand, you can choose to Inspire or Discourage, be Proactive or Reactive, Kind or Cruel, Darkness or Light . . . But the choice is yours with each new hand dealt.
